Hidden Heat: A Hidden Gem

Hidden Heat, a spicy Sichuan restaurant tucked away in Tat Tung Road Garden in Tung Chung, has been open for over a year now and is going from strength to strength.

Hidden Heat's USP is their deep red Sichuan peppers that make up a lot of the dishes on the menu. The restaurant roasts their own chillies on site, with the chef having to wear special goggles to do this to avoid a serious case of chilli eye, and the attention to detail shows in the quality and depth of flavour of the dishes. Hidden Heat has recently been granted its outside seating license which makes this the perfect location for a tasty lunch or dinner and spring starts to bloom. It's also the perfect spot if you have kids as they can rip it up running around the park, whilst you can watch over their chaos over a bowl of dan dan noodles or chilli chicken.

Hidden Heat is open 7 days a week but it's recommended to book, especially at lunchtimes as the restaurant has affirmed itself as an office worker's favourite. You can also use your Lan Tao Deals keyring to unlock secret deals at this venue. Check out www.rottenhead.com/topdeals for the latest deals.
